FRANCIS PICABIA (1879–1953)
A shape-shifting pioneer of modernism, Picabia moved freely through Dada, Surrealism, abstraction, and figuration. Known for his mechanical drawings and provocative spirit, he embodied constant reinvention. His works are in MoMA, Centre Pompidou, and the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris.

"Our heads are round so our thoughts can change direction."
