JOHN CHAMBERLAIN (1927–2011)

Chamberlain turned crumpled car parts into vibrant abstract sculptures, merging industrial aggression with lyrical form. His works, rooted in both Abstract Expressionism and Pop, celebrate color, movement, and collision. His art is in the Guggenheim, MoMA, and Dia Beacon.

"You have to make art out of something."
